Stellaris and HOI4 are hard games to learn, but there is in game help that solves about any problems. That's exactly how I feel when playing all three games. Just nice to have.Ī poster above said that it lacked personality.

It would also be nice to move the dialogs around, like the stuff on the right, I prefer them on the left, but that's not important. Your first 3-to-5 Citizens should probably be. The first, most effective way to get Administrators is to train your Citizens that you get every 10 turns. When I restart the game and load the most recent save, the problem is gone and the game functions as expected. After this 'invisible ship' bug occurs, within a few turns the program hard crashes. Administrators are limited so you must acquire more. I had an Explorer ship that had 32 moves and I was able to make it appear and disappear as I made it move 2 or 3 cells at a time. The history of the gal civ as it can be seen is really complex and interesting.
Gal civ 3 ships series#
You need them to build Colony ships, Survey ship and Constructors. Galactic Civilizations 3 is the third installment in the series of so-called 4x space hex-based strategy games, created by the Stardock entertainment company. Gal Civ III is pretty, the world moves around very nice, the ship building is very good, but still unintuitive to use. Administrators are the key to the early game in Galactic Civilizations 3. Any ideas on what to look for or to stay away from as to custom civs/factions or ships as to compatibility with Retribution 4.1. But hopefully tomorrow I can slowly start to add some workshop items back in to the game, i.e. I quit GC3 when the AI declared war on me with 200 ships, which I managed to defeat with my 4 ships. So this is good progress, for tonight I have ran out of time.
Gal civ 3 ships how to#
How to move ships, explain the items that can be constructed by the Constructor ship, on and on and on. Although when I got it I think it was still fairly new so it might have got better. Paradox has excellent examples of in game help, and the Galactic Civ series sure could use it. No in game help, that's a real no no to me. I expect to select a ship and right click somewhere for them to go, with maybe a menu of options for when they get there. The best way to describe "unfinished" is that the menus are clumsy, unintuitive, things that should be there just are not, commanding ships is lacking, and I open menus and expect more than what is there.
